THE SWORN TRANSLATOR
The Court-appointed expert is a qualified professional, an occasional assistant to the judge as part of the missions entrusted to him or her by various French jurisdictions. The Sworn translator intervenes before any court at the request of magistrates, judicial police officers, lawyers or litigants.
The expert entered on the list of a Court of Appeal after a solemn oath is sworn shall undertake to assist the courts, to carry out his task, to make his report and to give his opinion in his honour and in his conscience.
